Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon - Julia Hill 2013 (Dozen - 12 bottles)

Our 2013 wines are now available. 

Julia Hill 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, has colours of deep red with purple and plum coloured hues. On the nose you'll find cassis, spicy plum with chocolate and a hint of mint. The palate is velvety with ripe fleshy cherry fruit flavours with a lingering astringency rounded off with a touch of vanilla and mint aftertaste. A very youthful wine that will develop into a softer, richer and complex individual as time goes on and should peak around 2021.

Our winemaker has used the word Cassis which is a flavouring word but what is it? 

It is a French word meaning blackcurrant and it turns out to be deliciously intriguing. First of all, it’s the deepest red colour that you’ll ever see, and it tastes like an intense berry.
