Julia Hill Wines is situated in the wine region of Coonawarra and is named after a small nature reserve close to the vineyard. This natural bush land is nestled amongst the pine forest and is a protected area of endangered native plants, trees and wildlife. Julia Hill is a little gem known by local bush walkers and residents in Penola and like many other native bush areas throughout the south east region, are what remains of the tribe lands of the Bunganditj and Marditjali Aboriginal people.
A delicacy of the Marditjali people were the grubs of the Red-gum Ghost moth found in the ground and in decaying wood.
Our Julia Hill 2013 Coonawarra 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz wines are now available.
